So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How expensive are they?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.
Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.
